In this role, you will be one of the key contributors by reporting directly to the Project Manager in a flat, and dynamic structure. You will be approaching to the projects with the mindset of innovation, engineering, and continuous improvement. You will be one of the conduit people who connects the innovation, and the engineering activities to the operational areas of the business and ensures a smooth implementation in the workflow by delivering commercial outcomes with R&D Team.
Key responsibilities in this role includes;
o Reporting to Project Manager directly. Coordinating, tracking, and allocating company PLM, and engineering projects, taking required actions for all company departments, and completing given tasks under supervision of Project Manager.
o Preparing 3D models, and 2D shop drawings of new custom designed irrigation product concepts for R&D, Engineering, and Automation Departments on Siemens Solid Edge with innovative, and creative mechanical engineering perpective.
o Applying engineering shop drawings on CNC Plasma Cutter, Press Brake, Pan Brake, MIG Welders, TIG Welders, ARC Welders, and Drilling Machines to prototype new design concepts with R&D Team.
o Doing engineering academic research to improve products and fix technical issues with R&D Team.
o Preparing BOMs of new products for Sales Department.
o Leading company engineering brainstorm meetings and providing kazien solutions for customer quality complaints with Leadership Team.
o Ensuring effective handovers of new custom designed, and innovated products to Production Department with technical procedures, work instructions, risk assesments, and engineering drawings with R&D Team.
o Following up company Lean 6-Sigma projects under supervision of Contunious Improvement Manager and preparing ISO 9001:2015 accreditation documents under supervision of Quality Manager.
o Contrubiting to purchase required materials, tools, and equipment to manufacture engineering projects.
o Storing engineering drawings, research, physics experiments videos, and protoypes testing records on SharePoint and using Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, OneDrive, and Outlook).
The role will suit someone who is passionate about innovation, mechanical engineering, and continuous improvement. Your ability of influence positive outcomes through your interpersonal skills will be of paramount importance.
You ideally will be having a bachelor’s degree of mechanical engineering which is recognised by Engineers Australia. Also, at least 3-years of work experience as a Mechanical Engineer and having the certificate of Siemens Solid Edge Professional are essential. Your engineering design experience, continuous improvement exposure, and desire to contribute to the valuable Australian agriculture sector will see you adding value from the get-go.
