About the Position
Project Administrator and Workplace Health and Safety OfficerWauters Building Company is the leading commercial builder in the Great Southern region of WA. We are looking for a proactive solution driven Project Administrator and Workplace Health and Safety Officer for the Western Power Albany Depot Project. DutiesReporting to the Executive Safety Manager, and Site Manager, working in a team you willHandle all project correspondence and overseeing all allocated project administrationManage project information to and from Quantity Surveyor, Site Managers, CEO and ClientManage meetings related to projects such as management meetings, site meetings, contractor meetings, and client meetings.Place subcontract agreements and purchase orders with suppliers coordinating with Site Manager & QSLiaising with client/client representatives/ architects and consultants for construction projects including RFI-s, Variations, EOT and material selections.Preparing and maintaining construction programs - issuing updated programs to key parties as requiredInstigating action on Practical Completion, Defects and Maintenance ListsCompiling and managing handover documentation and manualsLiaising with third parties as required on specific projects including but not limited to local authorities and utilities.Conduct site inspections, attend toolbox meetings & manage risk assessments, SOPs, SWMS & JSA-s.Identify hazards & risks on site and recommend action to minimise potential harm to personnelParticipate in safety assessments and internal audits to assess safety performance on site, providing live feedback to manager & personnel.Maintaining accurate records of all safety aspects including daily diary, hazard register and undertaking safety reporting as required.Reporting of incidents, non-conformances and near misses and participating in incident investigations if required.Ensure the Company Safety Policies and Procedures are well communicated and known to all onsite inductions, training, etc. and being adhered to.Undertake plant and equipment checks for safety.Skills & ExperienceYou will need demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally within the commercial building and construction industry as well asCert IV Health & Safety or Diploma in OH&S or higherDemonstrated knowledge and application of relevant OH&S legislationWell-developed written communication and excellent interpersonal skillsCurrent First Aid Certificate.2 years- experience in a similar role.send your resume or CV with cover letter to receptionwauters.au
